Why are you a fan of Megadeth?
Dave has a pretty keen sense of humour and wit, which comes across in his lyrics. Megadeth songs are always relevant and outspoken...never dull...oh and KILLER solos.
Have you got any interesting Megadeth stories for us?
I won a phone call from Dave and was ecstasic when he fianlly called me at work. I expected to talk with him about Megadeth and making an album etc...which we discussed and it was great. But at the time I was a youth worker and he also talked to me about his views on how children/youth need positive guidance, the importance of being a role model and our obligation to make an impact if possible. I admired him in a completely different way after that call. It was a great chat that gave me some guidance too!

Why are you a fan of Megadeth?
For all the right reasons. I was a fan of Metallica before, the really early stuff appealed to me the most (Kill Em' All/Ride The Lightening) and then right around discovering Mustaine had written a good portion of those songs, I was exposed to the newly released The System Has Failed. I saw Metallica live October 26th 2004 and was pretty disappointed with the set list and they're whole performance, Most of the good songs they screwed up (Dyer's Eve) and paying 100 bucks didn't seem worth it after. 2 weeks later I go to the Kool Hause on November 16th 2004 and saw Megadeth and Exodus for 30 bucks!! It couldn't have been at a better venue. I had no idea what I was getting myself into that night and certainly got my ass kicked.
I also really admire Dave's innovative and unique style of vocals and guitar work. The music is unpredictable and just amazing also very satisfying (trying) to learn.
Have you got any interesting Megadeth stories for us?
Around this time (fall 2007) I entered a contest through Sunrise records to be a Megadeth roadie for a day and I was called up and told I was the winner. So I was pumped, it was just a matter of time until the tour was announced. So come April 2008 everything is rolling fine, and then April 19th I played a show with my former band and busted my knee screwin around in the mosh pit before the set and tore my MCL and chipped my knee cap. Played my whole 30 minute set standing and bangin my head. But the only thing on my mind was whether I could still do the roadie thing. Luckily everything was cool and everybody in the crew had something to say about my knee. "Here's the roadie for the day." "Glad to see that you haven't hurt yourself". It was funny. But the best part was during "In My Darkest Hour" when I was behind the baracade some dude got past the security and was all gung ho about getting on stage but I ran and dragged him (bum leg and all) down into a big box of cables. Willie G was giving me mad props for it.
