February 24, 2008 - DAVE MUSTAINE SPEAKS ABOUT GIGANTOUR BANDS IN REVOLVER
In the April 2008 issue of Revolver magazine, Dave Mustaine spoke about how what kind of bands he was looking for to round out the Gigantour lineup this year. "I wanted bands that weren't necessarily smash successes but that have been around for a while and built a following," he said. "And I wanted bands that have had consistent musicianship. There was a period over the last 10 years where guitar solos weren't popular anymore — they weren't en vogue. Thank God they're back in style, because I look at guys that don't play solos as guys who aren't fully accomplished guitar players."

While taking some time to enjoy Amsterdam on the day of their show this past Thursday (Feb 14), Dave Mustaine and James LoMenzo bumped into some of Amsterdam's youngest Megadeth fans. Long time fan Patrick Dudart and his two daughters, 3 year old Melissa and 5 year old Denise bumped into Dave and JLo and grabbed a quick photo with the guys. Patrick had this to say: "I asked Denise if she knows who that is. She said "that's Dave Mustaine." Legends Cup V.P. Scott Holmen: "Legends Cup received a call from our friends at The Door of Faith Orphanage last week. They told us that their well pump which, when functioning properly, pumps 10 gallons per minute was gradually wearing out and was currently pumping 4 gallons per minute. With over 100 kids and several staff to hydrate and clean this was clearly a problem that needed fixing. Legends Cup had the privilege of providing a brand new pump that cranks out 15 gallons per minute. Berlin ticket holders have been advised, but for those who may not be aware and plan on attending the Megadeth show tomorrow night (Sunday, February 10) in Berlin, Germany, the venue has been changed. Evie Carrano, from Chicago, was a Local Masseuse, a Tour Masseuse, a Cotton Tech (merch person), a Band Assistant, and much, much more. She had just recently finished her first gig as a Tour Manager. Evie toured with Lamb Of God on Gigantour 2006. Gigantour and Megadeth Jr. Manager, Tracey Wiedeman had these words to say: "Evie was one of those kind and caring souls that are sometimes hard to find in the music industry. She was smart, funny & genuine and every time Evie walked into a room she always brought a soothing peace with her no matter how hectic things may have been."
