June 29, 2009 - CHRIS BRODERICK CHECKS IN FROM THE CANADIAN CARNAGE TOUR
Chris Broderick has issued the following tour update: "We have played three of the four shows up here in Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary) and so far and the fans have been awesome. Some have been following us from show to show some even flew out from Italy to see us!!! The roster of bands has actually fit very well, I was worried that the diversity would segment the fan base to much but it seems (to me anyway) that there is something that each band brings to the table for everyone to appreciate." MORE

June 28, 2009 - MEGADETH PERFORM "HEAD CRUSHER" FOR FIRST TIME ON TOUR
Megadeth performed a brand new track entitled "Head Crusher" Wednesday, June 24 at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Megadeth and Slayer kicked off the "Canadian Carnage" tour in Vancouver by playing in front of about 6,000 people with Machine Head and Suicide Silence opening the show. June 19, 2009 - MEGADETH TO PERFORM "HEAD CRUSHER" ON CANADIAN CARNAGE TOUR
Dave Mustaine has recorded a new audio message for TheLiveLine. DM: "I'm on my way home from rehearsal right now. It's going pretty good. We've got our dozen songs that we're gonna be playing for the Canadian Carnage dates. Those dates are supposed to be 60 minutes long for both us and Slayer, so we're gonna have about 12 songs we're gonna be playing. We've cut back a lot of the songs that we've been playing over the years down to just the ones that are probably a little bit more of the fan favorites and not the stuff that's been on the radio. Dave Mustaine has told the Edmonton Sun that he just found out his heritage can be traced back to the Great White North."My sister was doing some genealogy research and she found we were Canadian at one time," said the 47-year-old Mustaine. My mom was German and my dad was French-Irish, and my dad's side of the family migrated down from Canada at one point. When my sister told me that, I thought that was awesome.
