April 28, 2010 - SONISPHERE LOCATION IN CZECH REPUBLIC CHANGED
The Sonisphere festival featuring the "Big Four" — Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax, which is going to take place in Czech Republic on June 19 2010, has changed location. Organizers say the reasons are easier accessibility and more comfort for the festival visitors. It is being moved from Mimoò airport to Milovice airport, just 47 km from Prague. Megadeth was deeply saddened today to hear about the death of Type O Negative’s singer and bassist, Peter Steele. He will be greatly missed and our heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends. According to the band’s manager, Mickey Renault, Peter passed away last night and as of now it appears to have been heart failure. The music world has lost a true legend and again we offer our most sincere condolences.

Each person I have met on this tour leg has been tripping out and have been so thankful for us doing this record, so that in itself is a reward to me. The L.A. show was a trip, as we filmed the show for a future DVD release- was also nice to see so many friends of ours backstage. (laughs) I think it's great. In fact, when the Carnage tour got cancelled, well initially it was cancelled then postponed, my first thought was, 'Man, I should call Dave'.
