1.3.2005 - Which song was the hardest to learn?

i am a bass player, and want to know which megadeth song James had the hardest time learning for the tour. which was the most technical, and which was the easiest?

I went straight to Mr. MacDonough in search of the answer to your question. And here is what he had to say: "The most difficult song was probably 'Holy Wars', going from fingers to a pick was not a piece of cake on that one. Also, we play it alot faster live which took some time to get used to. It's also one of my favs to play. It also might be one of the most technical in the set along with 'Set the World A'fire' and 'Hangar 18', need a lot of left hand stamina for the end of Hangar. That one of course is played faster. The easiest was probably 'Symphony' , not a lot of parts, you just have to keep the notes steady and have the same percussive attack throughout the song.
