Congrats to Megadeth, now a two-time winner in Loudwire's Classic Cage Match. Their 1986 song "Peace Sells" defeated two fellow legendary 1986 metal tracks — first, Slayer's "Raining Blood", and then, Metallica's "Master of Puppets".
We'll jump ahead four years for our next battle, sending current champions Megadeth back into the Classic Cage Match armed with their song "Holy Wars … The Punishment Due". The track, from their 1990 standout album "Rust in Peace", is a metal staple if there ever was one.
Megadeth's opponent this time will be Pantera's "Domination" off their 1990 album "Cowboys From Hell". This hard-driving classic gets all up in your face with Philip Anselmo's powerful delivery and some chunky riffing from Dimebag Darrell and bassist Rex Brown.
This Cage Match will run until Thursday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!
