Hartke Welcomes Back Megadeth??s David Ellefson
Hauppauge, NY ??? Hartke is pleased to announce the return of bassist David Ellefson of the iconic thrash metal band Megadeth to our family of artists. Ellefson has been a mainstay in the rock and metal communities for over 25 years. Internationally acclaimed, Ellefson held his place as a founding member and bassist for Megadeth from 1983 until 2002.
Upon rejoining the ranks of Megadeth in February 2010, Ellefson looked to Hartke to help him recreate his past Megadeth sound, which originated from a previous partnership with the brand and our earlier amplifiers. With Hartke??s LH1000 Bass Amplifier and HyDrive 810 Bass Cabinets making up Ellefson??s new bass setup, an exciting new partnership is in place and that same great bass sound can be heard on tour. ???For me, Hartke is ???the sound?? of thrash metal bass,?? says Ellefson. ???Their HyDrive bass cabinets are better than ever and, as a result, so am I.??
Megadeth recently finished-up ???The Big Four?? tour in Europe alongside Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, playing to a minimum of 80,000 people a night. The band is currently on the ???J?_germeister Music Tour?? tour with Slayer and Anthrax, during which Ellefson will be appearing at a series of in-store clinics.
